I love being a teacher!

I have been doing relief teaching at the school I finished a contract at at the end of last term, and I have had a particular year 8 class quite a few times…. This morning I was walking down the hallway when the kids realised I would be their teacher today and I heard them whispering amongst each other “YES we have GOD today” lmaooooo ๐Ÿ™ and they all get so excited when they see me in the yard at school. ๐Ÿ˜‚

Yesterday I went on an adventure to a variety of very old graveyards, both big and small. Wandering through abandoned necropolises, I was intrigued by the artwork of the elaborate graves, and wondered what one must have done in their lives to be deserving of such magnificent structures at death. I was saddened by rows and rows of dead infants, some dating back from way before Federation of our young country. Graves of children from still born to young adults featured anything from small metal plaques to elaborate religious statues with prayers written on the stone from a variety of religious scriptures. Graves written in German, and Italian and Greek told stories of Australia’s immigrant past, how our ancestors left their homes, their families to begin a new life in the ‘free country’. Graves so old they had fallen or crumbled beneath the weight of the heavy marble reminded me that even the best of us will be forgotten in time. Solitary graves in the middle of nowhere that have ignited a sprawl of urban legends from ‘the witches grave’ to the ‘devils lair’ reminded me that there is judgement of us, even six feet under.

the definition of a healthy lifestyle is not working out all the time, eating fruits and vegetables and lifting.

a healthy lifestyle is doing whatever you like, smiling, inner peace, eating whatever you like and whatever is good for your body and your soul, loving, being happy, laughing with the ones you love, feeling comfortable with your body and being positive. enjoy being alive.
