Anonymous asked: Hey you! I increased my intake about a month ago after seeing on your blog about B.M.R. Let me tell you I was skeptical at first but it really helped me to lose weight. Who would have thought that eating more would make me lose weight? I feel so much healthier now so thankyou soooo much. (-:
Hello there, wonderful Anon. :)
I’m so glad you took that advice on board, because so many people are in the dark about weightloss and are often tricked into believing that they have to eat less than their body can handle and exercise all of those calories off, when this method actually makes them retain the fat and puts their body into starvation mode also causing other health issues.
I used to be one of those people, especially when suffering with eating disorders. You’re losing weight now, because you’re feeding your body with enough fuel to be able to burn off that extra fat and gain lean muscle. Without this, your muscles would never be capable of repairing themselves so the fat would continue to accumulate in the body. That’s why it’s so important to eat enough calories for your specific BMR and eat back your exercise calories at the end of each day. Not sure about you, but I’m so much happier and more energetic and have a different outlook on life when I feed my body what it needs instead of depriving it of that essential fuel. It’s a win, win situation. :’) ♥
You’re welcome!
